FOSTER LANDS TRIPLE CROWN at Shasta
Raceway Park.
The 16 year old from Anderson, Ca. was on a rail last night as
he dominated the night of Legend action. Foster set second fast
time of the night qualifying in just behind Micah Parmer. Foster
made the circuit of the Shasta oval in 17.989 seconds. This
put him starting second row inside for the Trophy Dash Race.
This placed him just behind hard charger Frankie Marks and next to
buddy Parmer. After just a couple of laps it was clear who had
the advantage in this dash and Chad finished just ahead of Parmer,
then Buddy Cox and Marks.
Heat Race time and Chad dashed off the start and within one lap
was leading the race. He once again held off Micah Parmer
Frankie Marks and Buddy Cox.
But it was the Main Event that sealed the deal on a great night
of racing and the best finish for the #12 team. The hardest battle
on the field was Foster's bid to pass race leader Marks. Lap
after lap of patient smooth driving would eventually pay off.
Marks and Foster are both smooth drivers and pick a line and hold it
for everything its worth. And perseverance paid off for Foster when
he was finally able to cleanly by Marks. Now, he had to fend
off his long time racing buddy Micah Parmer. Both cars are
nearly equal, the advantages for either comes in setup, track
conditions and either driver's hunger to win. Parmer fought
hard - inside, outside, trying to get the advantage over the Monster
Energy car of Foster. But to no avail, Chad kept his cool, ran
his line and the car and tires held out long enough for the 16 year
old to take the checkered in the most exciting race of his career.
"The car was great! I have been learning so much. We
finally got the car to loosen up a bit, just enough for this week I
guess." Said Foster after the race. "The competition was
great out there. We had a lot of cars and I knew I would have to get
to the front fast. The car was great on long runs but towards the
end during the restarts I was pushing a little more than I wanted.
But the last run was enough to bring it home."

Chad Foster Celebrates his 16th Birthday
This week Chad Foster, Legends racer at Shasta Raceway Park and
the Legends of the Pacific celebrated his 16th birthday this week. Continuing
the festivities, he will be racing at his home track of Shasta
Raceway Park in Anderson this Saturday night.
April 26 2008
Shasta Raceway Park - A Terrific Night of Racing !
A great crowd turned out for the 5th race of the SRP Season - and they
were not disappointed ! Word is getting around that Good Ol' Fashion racing
is back at the historic racetrack in Anderson. This weekend saw the Monster
Energy Late Models do battle with a growing field of 10 cars. Alan Pyszora set
the fast time qualifying, Mr. Eric Gannon won the Trophy Dash and Wild Bill
Lancaster took the honors of the Feature Event win. A big welcome to new SRP
racer Kris Dressen and returning racer Rusty Robinett.
The
Modifieds saw the biggest field to date as well with 11 cars making the show.
Guy Young in the beautiful blue #7 mod took the quickest circuit of the track
in qualifying and Kevin Brink took home his first Trophy Dash hardware for the
2008 Season. The Feature Event saw veteran racer Jack Epperson lead from
start to finished virtually unchallenged by the pack.
Mini
Stocks - WOW. The minis put on a great show all night long. Starting with
Dale Stelt ticking off a 18.388 second qualifying lap which he backed up with
a Trophy Dash Win. A big welcome back to the track for Paul Sabourin who
celebrated his return by taking the win in the feature event just over Scotty
Murphy and Shane Spinner.
And
just when you thought it couldn't get any better, along come the Legends.
These boys really hit the pavement hard this weekend. Chad Foster has stepped
up the pace and was a solid challenger to Micah Parmer throughout the night's
events. Micah Parmer had the Triple Crown of the night after setting Fast
Time, winning the Trophy Dash and taking a late race lead in the Main Event to
win the feature. After a dozen side-by-side laps with buddy Chad Foster whose
Monster Energy Drink #12 Legend Micah finally made the pass to take the
checkers.
The
Bombers rocked the house - Both Directions ! It was a night of enduro-style
bomber racing with races and qualifying running in the reverse direction -
clockwise with righthand turning. The fastest lap in qualifying was set by
Lee Welch in the #1 - but the Trophy Dash was nabbed by Wayne Lowe in the #2
Camaro. Lowe went on to win the Feature Event as well with a pack of bashing
and banging bombers behind him going in both directions Lowe managed to avoid
the mayhem and take the flag.

On a sadder note, JoJo Owens and the Legend Drivers made a Memorial
Checkered Flag Lap for JoJo's Grandfather who recently passed away. Our
prayers and thoughts are with Jojo and his entire family.

Chad Foster - Shasta Raceway Park
Legends Division "Rookie of the Year"
Sept 8, 2007
Shasta Raceway Park
With one of the biggest races of the year only two weeks away
Chad Foster has posted his best finish of the season. A great qualifying
time put Foster in the fierce Trophy Dash. Even running with the top
guns at the Shasta track Chad conquered them all and won the 6 lap race.
With the victory firmly planted in his mind he took the momentum to the
Feature Event. Where he finished a track career best second place.
On Sept 22 Chad will be running the Cox and Cox 3rd Annual Westcoast Legend
Classic National Qualifier - check back for details !

Chad Foster, the young driver from Anderson, CA, took his
Monster Energy/Foster Motorsports Legend coup to a 4th place finish
this Saturday. In a night of exciting racing, including the
second installment of the SRL series race at the facility, Foster's
finish was the most thrilling for the fans of the youngster.
Starting the evening with a 5th place qualifying, Foster wrapped up
the main event with 4th place run, but more importantly, finished in
1st place for the Semi-Pro division. Chad will be towing to
Roseville this coming weekend to race with the Legends of the
Pacific hoping to gain valuable seat time and an opportunity to run
with a seasoned pack of competitors.

Third Place Finish for Chad Foster
The Legends Rookie from Anderson continued to hone his new found racing
skills as he finished in 3rd place in only his second race. Coming
from a 2-wheeled background, the youngster has had some great support in
his new Legend car. His car owners and crew are veterans at the
600 Racing gig having taken Ryan Foster, Chad's older brother, to the
top of the sport. "I think Chad has a natural racing talent which will
come to the forefront as the season continues" states a member of his
team. The Monster Energy Drink #27 Legend is a stand out car in
terms of on-track recognition. The bright yellow paint job
streaked with the trademark clawmark scratches of Monster Energy Drink
separate it from the rest of the pack. "Gary Morgan of GMG
Graphics did an awesome job creating a design that really says
"MONSTER", says Foster. Check Chad's website often for updates and
information and a whole new look and feel !!
May 5th, 2007
Chad Foster, younger brother of Ryan Foster made his
debut in the Legend Division at Shasta Raceway Park tonight.
The young driver piloting the #27 Foster Well Drilling entry had a
good qualifying time that set him on the pole for the Main Event.
For several laps Chad pulled the top five along behind him as he got
the feel of the car. After a brief yellow, Micah Parmer was
able to move on the rookie to gain the top spot. Lots of green
flag racing in perhaps the most competitive class at the raceway
made for top notch Legends racing.
A strong practice session several weeks ago where he was mentored
by big brother Ryan, former Legend track champion, state and
national champion had the new driver ready and
primed to take the challenge. At the end of the race Foster
came in with a 6th place finish.
